Service or Non-profit Groups

Responsibility of the Service Group:
|
|
Service groups will work with the municipalities to identify and collect the tires and centralize them for pick up in exchange for a per-tire fee.
A service group is a key component in our process. An application process has been put in place for the service group providers. Applications are to be completed in conjunction with the municipality administration. In order to be considered for the Black Gold Rush project, the service group must meet all criteria as outlined in this document and in the application. SSTC must approve the application before the service group can move forward in assisting the municipality.

- Working with the municipality to develop a BGR collection and execution plan specific to their municipality;
- Help establish a collection site or sites within the municipality;
- Distribute promotional posters and print material provided by SSTC as required;
- Manage the collection site(s);
- Safe handling of scrap tires;
- Scheduling and collecting of scrap tires from private stockpiles and inventories as identified by either the municipality or SSTC, and to deliver the scrap tires to the designated collection site;
- All costs associated with the collections, transportation and storage of the scrap tires (including the supply of equipment, tools, safety clothing, apparatus, or other necessary goods) until the time of collection from the identified collection site by SSTC; and
- Ensuring that the entire process is documented with photos so the SSTC can get a more complete understanding of the group’s experience with the program.
